I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in working with children, teens, and adults, and my therapeutic approach is grounded in biopsychology and the neurobiology of attachment.
In my practice, I foster a collaborative environment where we play to your strengths and strive to align your personality with your surroundings for optimal wellbeing. I believe in harnessing all available resources—both internal and external—to promote mental health. Depending on your unique needs, or those of your family, I employ various techniques, including, EMDR, hypnosis, CBT, DBT, EFT, and a systems approach.
A significant portion of my work involves assisting adoptive families, particularly those with internationally adopted children. This experience has granted me a deep understanding of attachment and attachment trauma-related issues, such as consequential maladaptive personality types.
My professional journey extends beyond clinical practice. I've been fortunate to work on complex research projects at esteemed institutions like Yale University and the PACE Center. I've also had the privilege of training doctoral level psychologists in Clinical and School Psychology, underscoring my dedication to fostering growth within my field.
In addition to therapy, my practice offers psychological assessments and consultations. I've found there are three main situations when people typically seek psychological support: the onset of a mental health condition, a mismatch between the stress they face and their coping strategies, and trauma that significantly disrupts their psychological functioning.
I provide services in both English and Russian. If you or a loved one are experiencing any of the situations mentioned, or if you simply need psychological support, my extensive experience and adaptive approach can provide valuable assistance on your path to emotional wellness.
I also have extensive experience of working on very complicated and sophisticated research projects at Yale University, PACE Center, as well as training doctoral level psychologists in Clinical and School Psychology during my academic career.
