I began my career in mental health services over 15 years ago as a social-emotional and social skills coach. I have been working with children, teens and families as well as adults on developing stronger self-regulation, mindfulness, emotional intelligence and pragmatic skills. Recently I expanded my horizons and earned a Masters degree in Clincial Social
Work from the Silberman School of Social Work in New York.
Personalized care is central to my practice. I recognize the uniqueness of each individual's experiences and tailor my approach to meet their specific needs. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in cognitive-behavioral and dialectical therapy (CBT and DBT), attachment focused EMDR and internal systems.I found these approaches to be helpful and easily adaptable to individual strengths and weaknesses in children and adults.
For individuals who are looking to explore and understand large “loops” and repetitive cycles they experience in their lives I incorporate psychodynamic approaches. I find that neuropsychological and psychodynamic frameworks shape my understanding of human behavior and the crucial role of the unconscious mind in influencing our emotional and psychological states.
If you're finding yourself challenged by your circumstances, I am here to assist. Through therapy, my goal is to help you develop new behavioral and cognitive patterns and act these changes into your life. My dedication to staying abreast of developments in my field means that I can provide a contemporary, informed approach to your care.
